LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WBEN) – Despite no confirmed cases of coronavirus, Niagara County has entered into a state of emergency.
The state of emergency took effect at 2 p.m. It allows the county to implement additional protective measures in response to the virus.
Although there are still no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Niagara County, officials are preemptively declaring a State of Emergency effective as of 2 pm. All schools in Niagara County will be closed starting tomorrow until further notice. pic.twitter.com/TRKAIcvTGt

All school districts in Niagara County will be closed indefinitely beginning Monday. The districts will re-assess student attendance on a weekly basis.
