
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Niagara Falls Police Officer was involved in a car accident on Sunday.
Police said the accident happened at the intersection of Hyde Park Boulevard and Pine Avenue at 8 p.m. A car driven by a 21-year-old woman who was traveling north on Hyde Park Boulevard tried turning left onto Pine Avenue while the officer drove south on Hyde Park Boulevard.
The officer was en route to a call.
Both vehicles deployed their air bags. The collision led to minor injuries for both the officer and the woman. The officer suffered head and leg injuries and has since been released from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The woman suffered back and shoulder pain.
