Niagara Falls Schools Investigate Threat

Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) Niagara Falls City Schools and Police are investigating a series of threatning notes discovered Wednesday at Niagara Falls High School.

Superintendent Mark Laurrie says three notes were found, two near each other, threatening to shoot up the school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Laurrie says the notes had the same handwriting.

A robocall was sent to all parents to inform them what happened.

There was an increased police presence and bags were checked at the high school Thursday. 

Meanwhile in Lockport, Lockport High School was placed in a hold in place status based on a written statement discovered this morning within the school.

The Lockport City School District in conjunction with Lockport Police Department immediately investigated and determined that there is no credible threat. The hold in place at Lockport High School was released at 11:00 am
