No change in hospitalizations or deaths in Niagara County

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WBEN) - Niagara County is reporting that the hospitalization numbers have not changed in the last 24 hours.

Twenty people are currently hospitalized with coronavirus, though there are 30 new cases and 766 total cases so far.


The death toll in Niagara County remains at 46.

There are 415 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

There will be no daily update from Niagara County Chairwoman Rebecca Wydysh on Thursday.

The Western New York region, which is represented by Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties, could begin opening as early as Friday, though the region has not met all the criteria to begin doing so and will likely not be able to reopen on Friday.
