Niagara County Chairwoman Rebecca Wydysh said that the region will reopen once Governor Cuomo says it will. However, she said she and other officials are working towards meeting the reopening guidelines made by the governor, including conversations with leaders from other counties in Western New York such as Erie County.

"We are proactively working with our businesses on safety protocols and guidelines," Wydysh said. "We are passing that information on to the Lieutenant Governor and the reopening team."
