BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) – Paula’s Donuts is one of many restaurants in the area that are halting operations because of health and safety due to coronavirus.

In a statement released by the company, they said they did the closure in the best interest for their employees and their families.

“We hope to open back up sooner rather than later, but not before we know it is safe for everyone to return,” Paula’s said in a statement.

Many fans flocked to the restaurant to get their last fix on their favorite pastries.

What’s Buffalo going to do without Paula’s Donuts?“If you can’t have donuts you can’t have anything!”“Probably panic. Nah. Probably good I don’t have donuts every day”“Guess it’s a good thing I’m getting my shi- stuff now”As for Sam...He said we’re all going to go insane pic.twitter.com/jVkcnE54FV

“If you can’t have donuts you can’t have anything!” Lou from Blasdell said as he waited in line while the rain poured on him. “(I’m absolutely willing to wait in line). I ordered ahead!”

Mitch from Orchard Park joked that he was going to panic.

“It’s probably good that I don’t have donuts every day,” Mitch said. “Getting a few now and I’ll try not to put on too much wait.”

The news caught John from West Seneca by surprise.

“Alright, I guess it’s good I’m getting my shi-…stuff now.”

Sam from Angola just left the restaurant as we spoke with him and said he only had to wait a few minutes to get the donuts. He said their operation ran smoothly and joked that people will probably go insane like they are over losing local sports.
