Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Harvey Weinstein has reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus at an Upstate prison.
The 68-year-old was placed in isolation at the Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, New York, after contracting the virus, state prison officials told the Niagara Gazette.
The newspaper reports he and another inmate tested positive for the virus, which has infected more than 15,000 people in New York state.
Officials believe Weinstein already had the virus when he arrived at the prison last Wednesday to serve a 23-year sentence.
He had previously been held at Rikers Island after being convicted of sexual assault in New York federal court in February.
