Amherst, NY (WBEN) Amherst Police responded to multiple calls to report shots fired Sunday afternoon at a church located on Dodge Road near Millersport Highway.
Authorities say that multiple units responded along with support from a number of near-by agencies including NY State Police. Police say that the building and surrounding area was searched and cleared by the Emergency Response Team and noted that there was no evidence to support any shots fired.
Amherst Police released a statement Sunday afternoon stating that there was no credible threat to public safety nor were there any injuries to report and the investigation is continuing.
