Rochester, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Rochester man has tested positive for Coronavirus and becomes the first confirmed case in the Western New York area.
Public health officials says the man is "recovering nicely" at home and had traveled to a high risk area.
The positive test was conducted in the Erie County Public Health Lab according toe Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz.
This test was performed and confirmed as positive today by the @ECDOH professionals at our @ErieCountyNY Public Health Lab. 4 tests of Erie County residents were also performed by the Lab today and they were negative. https://t.co/IDCTfMb6la
