Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - As part of the NFL and Buffalo Bills' "Salute to Service" during the Bills-Broncos game at New Era Field, Medal of Honor recipient and WBEN host David Bellavia was honored.

Bellavia took to the field during the third quarter and was presented with a game ball from Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Andre Reed as a short video played on the jumbotron. Bills fans were on their feet and enthusiastically greeted Bellavia as he left the field as chants of "USA, USA" resonated from the crowd. Bills owner Terry Pegula and General Manager Brandon Beane were both on their feet applauding as Bellavia was honored on the field.

During the Bills game broadcast on WGR and the Buffalo Bills Radio Network, Bellavia joined John Murphy and Eric Wood and said, "being here is one of the coolest things I've done in my life".  Bellavia is a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and recounted listening to the Bills broadcasts while serving overseas in Iraq.  "The Bills have been center to so many guys serving overseas", said Bellavia.

Bellavia continues his national tour with the US Army after receiving the Medal of Honor in June.
