Buffalo, NY (WBEN) State lawmakers are poised to pass legislation aimed at preventing teachers from having guns while in school and allow for teachers or family members to ask a judge to remove firearms from those considered an extreme risk.
The bill also expands the time in flagged background checks from three to 30 days.
