(WBEN) This Sunday morning thousands of cyclists will ride the Skyway, and Scajaquada and Kensington expressways. The event will result in road closures and traffic impacts from 6 am to 12 pm.
Riders will depart from Lasalle Park at 9 am and return between 10:30 to 11:30 am.
Please note the following traffic impact information:
Closures on the Skyway (Rt. 5), Scajaquada (Rt. 198), and Kensington (Rt. 33) expressways will begin at approximately 6 am
I-190 will not be directly affected
Motorists on Porter Avenue will experience delays between approximately 8:55 am to 9:45 am
Motorists on Niagara St. and Michigan Ave. will experience delays and may be instructed to follow police detours
Motorists using the Skyway/Rt. 5 E (North) will be encouraged to exit at Ridge Rd. and take South Park Ave. into Buffalo
