Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Claiming the Buffalo Public Schools are denying students instruction required by New York State, The Buffalo Teachers Federation and a group of parents are seeking a legal decision over a lack of art and music classes in the district.

The suit claims art and music education is not provided equitably and that concert band and orchestra is only available in four high schools and sufficient art programs are available in only two secondary schools.

Buffalo Schools General Counsel Nathaniel Kuzma says, "The District has not been served with a suit at this time, therefore it would be premature to comment."
