BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The fourth of five public hearings on public transportation took place on Friday in Buffalo.

State Senator Tim Kennedy said that capital improvements necessary for light rail improvements in Buffalo are something that must be addressed in the budget.

"We're looking for $6 million for a study for (expansion of the light rail to UB North)," Kennedy told reporters. "We are here today to listen to the NFTA and listen to community leaders who care about public transportation."
