Tonanwanda, N.Y. (WBEN) - Town of Tonawanda Police say a vehicle struck the Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village Apartments at 3735 Delaware Avenue in Kenmore Tuesday night after driving straight across Delaware, continuing through the parking lot, striking a parked vehicle and then striking the building causing substantial damage.
It happened shortly after 7pm Tuesday.
Crews arrived to find the vehicle on its side. The driver, identified as 32 year old Edward Harris of Tonawanda, had to be extricated from the car.
Harris was taken to ECMC with serious injuries. He is listed in fair condition.
A resident of the apartments, 94 year old Lida Alminate, was hit by debris from the crash and was also taken to ECMC with serious injuries.
The Brighton Fire Department estimates over $200,000 in combined damages to the car and the apartment building.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
There are no charges at this time.
