Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Collins woman pleads guilty to vehicular manslaughter in connection with a September crash.
26-year-old Allyson Rollek was driving on Creek Road in the Town of Concord when she crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. The crash killed the driver of the other vehicle, 66-year-old Ralph Spaulding of Java Center, and injured his 11-year-old passenger.
Investigators say her manner of speech and demeanor was consistent with narcotic use. Laboratory tests were conducted, which detected the presence of fentanyl in the defendant’s blood.
She faces a maximum of 7 in prison when she is sentenced on Monday, August 26,
Meantime, 30 year old Rodney Borden, Jr. of Buffalo pleaded guilty to vehicluar assault.
Back on October 15th Borden while under the influence of alcohol, was driving a vehicle the wrong way on the inbound Kensington Expressway/Route 33 near Locust Street in the City of Buffalo when he crashed into another vehicle head-on.
The female driver of the other vehicle was taken to ECMC, and she continues to recover from serious injuries she suffered as a result of the crash.
Borden faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when he is sentenced on Tuesday, August 27,
