August 15, 2019 "What we do is not going to change," said CEO Mark Simon. "We just felt that name was better served for what we do here in Western New York. We are more than a name - we're a brand - and the services that we provide here to the community are extremely important."
The name 'Unyts" has been around since the late 1990's, and Simon explained that there wasn't anything inherently wrong with the name or brand - it was simply time to change things up in an effort to educate the community.
"As a transplant recipient, ConnectLife is more than just a name change but a true testament to my experience with organ donation and the mission that Unyts has worked so hard to achieve in the Buffalo community," said Sobieraski. "A part of me is someone else, and because of my donor, I am alive today."
