Not content with simply re-doing One Seneca Tower, Washington-D.C. developer Douglas Jemal has emerged as the buyer for the recently closed City of Buffalo Police headquarters building. Business First reports Jemal plans to create a residential-based building with 175 apartments.. At least 10 percent would be set aside for low-to-moderate income city residents. Jemal also not ruling out a hospitality component in the form of a boutique hotel or AirBnB location. The purchase price for the building was $3.05 million.
The Westminster Economic Development Initiative has been selected to operate the new Kitchen @ the Market, a commercial kitchen which offer culinary entrepreneurs with commercial food production and storage space. The Kitchen @ the Market - which will be part of the Broadway Market - is expected to open in March.
