Caputo says the Trump agenda will include border security, more efforts on the economic front and peace initiatives with North Korea. "I think this will be a typical speech, where there will be an overall optimistic view," says Caputo.
One other topic: "I think it's a metaphysical certainty he will address the shutdown, because it's Nancy Pelosi's House of Representatives where he has the disagreement that led to the shutdown," he says. Caputo says the State of the Union address is a big presidential weapon, where he can present his views on the shutdown in front of 50 million viewers on all major networks.
You'll hear the address on air tonight.
