BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The University at Buffalo Men's Basketball team landed in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday night to prepare for their first round matchup against either Arizona State or St. John's University.

Head Basketball Coach Nate Oats said Tulsa isn't a vacation destination for his players and joked that his players aren't into rodeos.

"If we can win it, maybe we'll give them a day in Anaheim before we get down to business in the Sweet 16," he said. "Our guys are pretty serious about getting these two wins here this weekend."

Coincidentally, we told Oats about some of the "interesting" things in Tulsa, such as the center of the universe...a "mysterious" spot where visitors stand on a circle and noises they make are echoed back much louder.

"They're not going to disappear down into the center of the universe are they?" he quipped. "I've never heard of it. We've got some good restaurant spots. I'm gonna buy myself a belt buckle and some cowboy boots and try to fit in. We'll just try to win a couple games."

For what it's worth, two members of the UB band told us they don't know much about Tulsa. Even Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, who was at Tuesday's sendoff, said he doesn't know much about Tulsa other than it's mayor.

"We don't want them to do anything but focus on the game in Tulsa so they can bring home a win," Brown said.

It's debatable whether or not UB Women have a better spot for its first round. Storrs, Connecticut. It has the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, which one TripAdvisor commenter said is "Very small, but fun".
