Buffalo, NY (WBEN) With two weeks to go until the state budget is due, there is a question of whether it will be passed on time. Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul says the governor's drawn a line in the sand.
Hochul says residents need to understand "your highest tax bill is the property tax bill. It is not the state taxes, it's the combined property and school taxes and we have to make sure we start reducing that burden. I believe they will also understand it's important for the residents they represent to come and be on the side of this tax cap, why not make this permanent."
Hochul adds residents and businesses want certainty, and a tax cap does just that.
