Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will pass on being an alternate in the upcoming NFL Pro Bowl.
Allen has turned down the request to play this year after Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had to be scratched due to an ankle injury.
Allen issued a statement Thursday saying he would instead use the time following Sunday's loss to Kansas City to allow his body to heal after a difficult season.
Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes and Jackson were the quarterbacks selected for the Pro Bowl.
