Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Alden Bakery and Cafe at 13256 Broadway is accepting donations for striking corrections officers. Shipments of coffee, sandwiches, baked goods and other supplies have already been sent to Attica, Wyoming and Wende correctional facilities. Alden Bakery and Cafe is open from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on weekends.
Dudley Catering Company will celebrate winning the New York State Restaurant Association's Rising Star Award at 4:30 Thursday afternoon. The company will be presented with the award at the Elks Lodge at 7710 Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls. The presentation will be followed by a happy hour.
Community Bank opened a new branch at 1091 Main Street in downtown Buffalo. The Buffalo location is part of the company's plan to expand into key markets in 2025.
