Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo area is finally getting its own IKEA location when the furniture store opens at the Walden Galleria early next year. IKEA is setting up on the first floor of the mall near the Apple Store where Sears used to be. The mall says we're getting the full IKEA experience, including their signature showroom, marketplace and Swedish Bistro serving their popular Swedish Meatballs. The closest locations to Buffalo right now are in Burlington, ON and Syracuse.
National retailer America's Tire has opened its first location in the state of New York at 4972 Transit in Depew. The company is mostly known across the US as Discount Tire and has more than 1,250 stores across the nation.
Trocaire College and Elderwood have launched the iCARE Career Pathway Scholarship. Under the $150,000 investment, up to 10 nursing students from Trocaire will work at Elderwood facilities. The goal is to have students working with Elderwood by the coming Fall semester.
