Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Add Delaware North to the growing list of downtown companies bringing more workers back to the central business district with expanded in-office schedules.

Cait Zulewski, Delaware North vice president of communications, said the Buffalo-based global company will have employees work at its Delaware Avenue headquarters on a Monday through Thursday schedule effective May 4.

Currently, Delaware North headquarters workers are on a Monday-to-Wednesday in-office schedule with Thursdays and Fridays still on a hybrid/work from home calendar.

Fridays will remain work-from-home/hybrid, Zulewski said.

"We see this as a way to help downtown," Zulewski said.

Delaware North has approximately 425 employees at its downtown headquarters. The company has more than 40,000 workers globally.

Delaware North joins such downtown-based companies as M&T Bank that now have in-office workers on a Monday-through-Thursday schedule and Friday's as a hybrid/work-from-home option.

Delaware North is one of Buffalo's largest, privately-held companies.
