Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Developer Douglas Jemal has sold the Wegmans property at 675 Alberta Drive in Amherst to an affiliate of Benderson Development for $7 million. It's the first in a series of deals connected to Jemal selling his Boulevard Mall-area properties to Benderson. Wegmans will stay on as a tenant under a long-term deal with Benderson.
Erie County has recorded its 102nd $1 million+ home sale for the year, extending its single-year record. The latest was a new build by Marrano Homes in Clarence's Woodland Hills subdivision, selling for over $1.1 million.
In other real estate news, a Cheektowaga plaza at 160 French Road has been sold to a group of local investors for $600,000, while a mixed use building at 416 Abbott Road in South Buffalo sold for $665,000.
Gas prices stayed the same in Buffalo over the last week at $3.14 per gallon. Nationally, prices dipped 5 cents as travelers hit the road for the holidays with a gallon averaging $2.86.
