Ramen chain expands to Buffalo

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Rochester-based JBC Rice Noodles & Ramen is expanding into the Buffalo area. According to Buffalo Business First, two leases have been signed for Buffalo at 2166 Delaware and at 23 Allen. A third location is planned for West Seneca.

Buffalo-based hotel owner Jayesh Patel has added five more properties to his companies' portfolios. The properties, which are worth $26 million, include Days Inn and Super 8 hotels in Batavia. Three other hotels, one in Syracuse and two in Pennsylvania, were also purchased by Patel.


Unemployment rates dropped half a point year-over-year in the Buffalo-Niagara region, according to new data from the state Department of Labor. A year ago at this time the number was at 4.1%. That's now down to 3.6%.
