Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Joe Basil Chevrolet opened their new Basil Classics dealership Friday morning at 5071 Transit Road in Depew. The dealership is the region's largest indoor classic car facility. Cars start at $10,000. A classic Chevy Corvette was raffled off at the dealership as part of the opening event, with all proceeds going to Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York.
Uniland Development is working on a purchase of 62 acres of land in Buffalo to build a new campus for the city's Department of Public Works, per Buffalo Business First. Uniland will make a proposal to Buffalo's planning board next week. The DPW currently has four facilities across the city, the largest being at the former Broadway Auditorium at 195 Broadway Avenue.
The Western New York Women's Foundation will host their 2nd annual Women's Leadership Summit May 31st at UB's Alumni Arena. Aspiring business owners can particiapte in workshops and panel discussions. The Summit had 400 attendees last year.
