The average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region has remained basically unchanged. The AAA reporting the pump price is still $2.19.
In a case of perfect timing, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has received a NUAIRE ultra-low temp freezer as the region is expected to begin receiving doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine this week. The freezer is housed in a secure room that has been modified to provide the additional electricity needed to operate it. Accessed only by those wearing special cryogenic gloves, the freezer door can only be open for 60 to 90 seconds before being closed again for hours.
Academy Sports has opened at the McKinley Mall. The turf-lined facility hosts practices and training sessions and has batting cages as well as a HitTrax hitting simulator. Academy Sports is adjacent to the food court.
Univera Healthcare is providing the Buffalo based diaper bank, Every Bottom Covered, with a grant to help support families in need of diapers and wipes. Not having enough diapers can lead to health issues like diaper rash or infections for baby and undue stress for parents.
