Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Terry Pegula's net worth jumped $1.7 billion dollars since last year as he moved up almost 40 spots on Forbes' list of the world's richest people. The Bills and Sabres owner ranks at number 372 on the list with a net worth of $9.3 billion. Other local names on the list include Robert Rich Jr., Jeremy Jacobs Sr. and Tom Golisano. Catholic Charities' HOPE Day raised more than $528,000 for Appeal 2026, pushing the annual campaign past the halfway mark of its $8 million goal. The Appeal funds dozens of Catholic Charities programs, which benefitted more than 135,000 people in Western New York last year. This year's fundraiser runs through June 30th.

The Belle Center, which provides education and social programs for children, seniors and families in Western New York, began its 50th anniversary celebration last night with a time capsule opening. The Belle Center is located at 104 Maryland Street in Buffalo.

Carousel, a shop selling jewelry, vintage decor, candles, and gifts celebrates 29 years in business this weekend with an open house Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 11am-4pm. Carousel is located at 6094 Main Street in Williamsville.
