Swift Rails, the Buffalo based "personal rapid transit" startup is beginning a 2nd crowd funding effort via WeFunder in an effort to continue development of the company. Last year, Swift Rails was able to raise over $350,000 through the crowdfunding app and this time is seeking to make up to $500,000. The company, which wants to provide personal high speed rail travel at amusement parks and universities, among other places, is close to reaching deals with customers according to CEO Kevin Neumaier.
Basil Family Dealerships will be replacing their resale and service center at 6900 Transit Road in Amherst with a new Mitsubishi dealership. As part of the change, there will also be additions to the southern and northern ends of the existing building.
Buffalo and Erie County Libraries will be going fine free. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System Board of Trustees approved the action at a meeting Thursday. Fines that will be eliminated include daily overdue charges, hold charges for requested material, hold charges for requested materials that have not been picked up, and lost library card charges.
