Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - New Era Cap is, once again, honoring its signature 59FIFTY fitted cap silhouette on May 9 with its annual celebration, known as "59FIFTY Day".
This year, the 71st year since the original 59FIFTY was created, New Era Cap is paying tribute to the ongoing evolution and cultural emergence of the fitted cap — which from its standard silhouette has now expanded into additional styles. The "59FIFTY Family" now features the Original, Split Panel, Low Profile, Retro Crown, and A-Frame fitted styles.
To celebrate the 59FIFTY Family, New Era's flagship store will host an event open to the community. Beginning at 10 a.m., the celebration will feature exclusive products such as a 59FIFTY celebrating Josh Allen's MVP season, a local airbrush artist to customize caps, and music from DJ Milk and DJ Yes.
Buffalo Mayor Chris Scanlon will also visit the Delaware Avenue store Friday at 3 p.m. to officially proclaim May 9 as "59FIFTY Day" in the City of Buffalo.
