Evans, N.Y. (WBEN) - An 89-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run in the Town of Evans on Monday.
According to Town of Evans Police, the victim was at his mailbox at 7380 Derby Road when a vehicle struck him.
The make and model of the vehicle is unknown, though police say it was last seen heading West towards Sturgeon Point Road. Pieces from one of the car's mirrors, believed to be on the vehicle's passenger side, were found at the scene.
The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center with injuries to his arm, leg and back.
