Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Calling all car enthusiasts! The annual Buffalo Auto Show is back at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center with the newest in automotive technology from all your favorite car manufacturers.
"I think the dealers are relieved, I think they're energized. I think they're excited to be able to show the public something that they can do under one roof," says Paul Stasiak, President of the Niagara Frontier Automotive Dealers Association.

The Buffalo Auto Show has hundreds of cars on display and exhibitors like the US Army National Guard with their “Humvee," the Erie County Sheriff’s Office with their “BearCat," Martin Truex Jr.'s NASCAR racecar, a new Dodge Hornet, a Lamborghini EVO and a Corvette Stingray, just to name a few.

You also can't forget about the newest in golf cart technology. Yes, that's right ... golf cart technology. "For the first time ever, street legal golf carts that center 35 miles an hour. They could go down on Main Street and Elmwood, wherever if they need to, that's big," said Stasiak.
In addition, the Subaru Pet Adoption and the Subaru Loves Pets crew will be at the convention center and a special appearance from lovable Buffalo Bills mascot, Billy Buffalo.
Stasiak mentions that there will be a big focus this year on electric vehicles. The ENERGY ZONE exhibit is back with all the latest electronic vehicles and chargers with energy professionals on staff to address all questions the public has regarding EVs. "We'll have NYSERDA, National Grid, New York Power Authority here, those are the people that are helping with the infrastructure. They're helping make this transition to 2035 or whenever it is, become a reality. So customers can talk to the source, not just the dealer," Stasiak said.

For car dealers in Western New York, the end of February and March encompass some of the biggest selling days of the year and a lot of interest and revenue derives from the success of shows like these and with the pandemic years being tough to sell in person and tough on supplying, it's a great opportunity for the dealers to showcase the latest and greatest.
"Dealers now have vehicles on our lot that people can drive off in or get in and order from," Stasiak says. "If you remember the last eight months, they were buying online, sight unseen, maybe not sitting and fitting and driving it. So now the dealers are back to normal."
Tickets are still on sale for $10. The event is going on now, Feb. 2nd through Feb. 5th. Click here for more information.
