Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - An Akron man faces up to seven years in prison after admitting to dragging an Erie County Sheriff's Deputy with his vehicle. 41-year-old Michael Trybuskiewicz pleaded guilty to assault in State Supreme Court on Thursday.

Last May, prosecutors say Trybuskiewicz was wanted on an arrest warrant when a deputy approached him driving in the Town of Newstead. Trybuskiewicz drove off as the deputy approached him, dragging the deputy in the process.

The deputy was treated for several injuries.

Trybuskiewicz is being held without bail, as his sentencing is set for March.
