(WBEN-Chautauqua County) Deputies in Chautauqua County say 32-year old Heather Capell of Brunswick, Georgia was arrested Saturday in Erie, Pennsylvania in connection with a fatal crash Thursday on Interstate 86 in North Harmony, New York.
She's charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired on drugs. She faces extradition back to Chautauqua County.
Interstate 86 was closed down for hours on Thursday in what was reported as a wrong-way fatal crash on the westbound interstate.

Following an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the Chautauqua County District Attorneys Office, an arrest warrant was issued in the Town of North Harmony for Heather Capell, 32, of Brunswick, GA, for vehicular manslaughter 2nd and driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs. The charges stem from a fatal motor vehicle accident on Interstate 86 in the Town of North Harmony on 07/01/2021. On 07/03/2021, Heather Capell was taken into custody by the Erie Police Department in Erie Pennsylvania. Heather was arraigned as a fugitive from justice in Erie City Court and has been remanded to the custody of the Erie County PA Sheriff's Office. Heather will appear in Erie County Court to face extradition to New York State on the Chautauqua County charges.
