alden, N.Y. (WBEN)...A Dallas-based, publicly traded real estate investment group has added to its local portfolio by acquiring a 50-year-old Alden shopping center that's anchored by a Tops Friendly Market.
NS Retail Holdings LLC - an affiliate of Dallas-headquartered NETSTREIT LLC - paid $8,740,740 for the 68,000-square-foot Tops Plaza at 12775 Broadway.
The deal is one of the largest commercial transactions, this year, in Alden.
The plaza had been owned by another commercial real estate investment trust, SKY New York Holdings LLC of Houston. The deal is the latest in a lengthy list of local commercial deals between NS Retail Holdings and SKY New York Holdings.
Built in 1976, the plaza is anchored by the Tops supermarket but other tenants include McDonald's and Subway.
All of the tenants, including Tops, are remaining in the plaza.
