Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo police have made an arrest in an early Thursday homicide.
Police say 35-year-old Raymond Torres gunned down 35-year-old Travis Martin of Buffalo during some sort of dispute at 7th and Jersey. The shooting was first reported to police at around 4:20 a.m. ET on Thursday.
Gun Violence and Homicide detectives immediately began an investigation, and a suspect was identified.
Torres, who has no permanent address in the City of Buffalo, was arraigned Friday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Carrie Phillips on one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class "A-I" felony). He is scheduled to return on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9:30 a.m. ET for a felony hearing.
He was held without bail.
If convicted of the charge, Torres faces a maximum sentence of 25 years-to-life in prison.
