Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The crack of the bat will be heard again starting today as the Buffalo Bisons begin their 2025 season. There's a guarantee for ticketholder for today's game.

"It's what I call the greatest holiday in sports," says Assistant Bisons GM Brad Bisbing. He says it's a chance to put winter behind, and the Bisons are putting up a guarantee. "If it's not 50 degrees at first pitch, everybody in attendance will be able to use that ticket and exchange it to a future game as well, either over the weekend or in April," explains Bisbing.

Bisbing says you'll hear something new at the ballpark this year, as work was done to improve the sound system. "The baseball experience is not only the action on the field, but it's all the great music and giveaways and stuff you hear during the game," notes Bisbing. There are also new events. "We've added a post game drone show, a Harry Potter night, the bobblehead giveaway featuring the Goo Goo Dolls, things like that that we're really excited about, not to mention just some daily deals," adds Bisbing, such as Win It Wednesday.

The Bisons are also pushing back the start of most Friday night games to 6:35pm, to allow families to take in the last pitch earlier.

Food is a big part of any trip to the ballpark. Bisbing says in addition to hot dogs, there are new ready to drink cocktails like mojitos, and chicken wing dip using Sahlen's Buffalo chicken.

The Bisons host Rochester this weekend.
