Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Blizzard conditions have crippled the region and made most major roads and highways within the lake effect snow band largely impassable, and in many cases closed.
A driving ban is also in place for ALL of Erie County as well as numerous surrounding municipalities.
Additionally, travels bans are in place in both the cities of Buffalo and Niagara Falls until further notice.
The New York State Thruway is CLOSED to all traffic from Rochester to the PA line due to poor conditions.
