Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - On the heels of a state-commissioned study on a potential new stadium for the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Common Council wants to hear from residents their opinions on where a new facility should be built.

The Council will host a special public hearing about the location of the new Bills stadium Tuesday, November 9 at 5:30 in the evening where the public will have the opportunity to comment on the issue.

"We can not allow this opportunity to pass us by without digging into it deeply," said Buffalo Common Councilmember Rasheed Wyatt. "You can't tell me that having a Bills stadium in Orchard Park as opposed to Buffalo is going to help us get our return on investment at a faster rate."

The hearing follows the release of that state-funded study on a stadium. The study did not make a determination on whether a new stadium was better off being located in Orchard Park or Downtown Buffalo, but did note that a newly-built stadium was a more viable option than rehabbing the current facility.
