Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend and carjacking another person. 37-year-old Gary Green Jr. was arraigned on charges of murder, robbery, weapon possession and fleeing a police officer.

Prosecutors say Green shot 32-year-old Alexis Navaroli after hitting her with his car on Walden Avenue on Nov. 23. Police say Green stole a car at gunpoint from another person, driving by the scene and drove off.

Buffalo police say officers tried to stop Green at Genesee and Rawlins, but Green sped off before being arrested at Jefferson and Best.

Green is scheduled to return on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. for a pre-trial conference. He remains held without bail.

If convicted of the highest charge, Green faces a maximum sentence of 25 years-to-life in prison.
