Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo police are investigating an early morning shooting on Saturday that killed a 19-year-old and injured another 19-year-old.
B District officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 2:21 a.m. in the area of W Chippewa and Pearl streets, where they were able to locate two male victims.
One victim, Jomarion Ryles of Buffalo, was pronounced deceased at the scene after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Meanwhile, the second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, and was transported to Erie County Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
Detectives recovered two firearms under vehicles in a nearby parking lot, and collected multiple shell casings from the scene. The incident appears to be targeted in nature.
Investigators are reviewing video footage from the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
