Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Schools continue to work to recover from a ransomware attack on district computer systems Friday.
Significant progress on recovering functionality was made Monday and 54 of 67 locations are reporting stable systems.
Tuesday, students will remain home while building staff will report and each school will instruct families on new login procedures. A full day of remote learning is anticipated district-wide Wednesday.
The district has been dealing with the ransomware event since Friday when it forced the cancellation of classes then and again Monday.
Investigators from the FBI and ransomware experts are continuing to work to recover the district systems and bring the district's computer systems back to full operation.
