Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - More than 2,800 employees, including RNs, service, tech and clerical staff at Kenmore Mercy, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus approved a new contract with Catholic Health Wednesday.

The four-year contract agreements total $100 million dollars.

Workers were able to secure pension and health benefits, along with sought-after staffing numbers.

Employees are getting a pay boost, too. Over the four years of the contract wages will rise 12%. There's added incentives for evening and night shifts, as well as overtime.

Negotiations between Catholic Health and CWA Locals 1133 & 1168 started in March.

In a written statement, Catholic Health President & CEO Joyce Markiewicz said "These contracts are competitive, sustainable, and focused on supporting the people who make Catholic Health strong."
