CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN).....For the second time in as many days, a suburban Erie County home has sold for more than $1 million.

A four-bedroom house at 5747 Strickler Road in Clarence sold for $1.15 million, making it the 47th home in Erie County, this year, to sell for north of the $1 million benchmark.


The four-bedroom, nearly 3,500-square-foot house was constructed in 2015 and acquired by a local couple.

The deal follows former Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott selling his Orchard Park house for $1.6 million.

Both deals were recorded in the Erie County Clerk's office within one day of each other,

Erie County is pacing to have a $1 million-plus home sale recorded in the clerk's office once every four days and is tracking towards 85 homes selling for north of the $1 million-plus benchmark this year.

Last year, Erie County recorded 105 sales of $1 million--plus home sales, a new record.

The sale of homes selling for more than $1 million are considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
