Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - In the wake of the United States' bombing of three of Iran's nuclear sites this past Saturday, Congressman Tim Kennedy (D, NY-26) shared his concerns Monday with the attack ordered at the hands of President Donald Trump.

Kennedy disclosed his request for a classified briefing of President Trump's decision without seeking Congressional approval.

"The fact that the President carried out this mission without Congressional approval is certainly concerning, and we have more questions than answers," said Kennedy on Monday while in Buffalo.

Operation Midnight Hammer was carried out Saturday with the bombing of all the nuclear sites, and saw all U.S. troops involved in the bombing returning home safely. Since then, questions regarding peace between the United States and the Middle East have been brought to light.

"There has to be a diplomatic solution here. America does not want another war. Americans do not want to get caught up in a quagmire of a military conflict in the Middle East," said Kennedy.

With a classified briefing being held this week, Kennedy hopes the administration will answer the questions of the American people, and provide a strategic plan for the future.
