Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Governor Cuomo updated reporters Friday on the COVID19 pandemic in New York.
Cuomo says the WNY positive test rate is 4.8 percent, highest in the state. The Erie County orange zone is at 7.4% and the Erie yellow zone is at 6.57%.

Cuomo says it's unclear if the next federal stimulus bill in DC happens in December or after President-elect Joe Biden takes office. But he says states face bankruptcy without a bailout. “The economic stimulus is necessary or you’ll see states across the nation essentially go bankrupt...virtually every state is in dire financial need,” notes Cuomo.
Cuomo says the upstate levels are higher than NYC levels to determine red, orange or yellow zones.
No decision on changing the orange zone status to red was announced today.
"We did 205,000 tests yesterday, a new record," Cuomo said during a call Friday. Cuomo again addressed concerns about Thanksgiving gatherings, saying, "I am concerned about Thanksgiving, and I believe it could have a large impact if people are reckless. It is the socialization that's a problem, and socialization is human behavior. So we are on guard, but it depends on what we do."
