Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - AI-related security incidents are heightening concern over the technology over the last week.
We looked for answers Tuesday morning on WBEN to what people should be doing to keep themselves safe.
"Embrace it, but be cautious about how much access you're giving it," said cybersecurity expert Arun Vishwanath.
Vishwanath says the technology is not going away, but people need to be mindful about the amount of access they give it to their everyday lives.
"We're at that point right now, where more and more of our devices and apps are asking for access," he added. "Yelp is using AI. Google Maps is using AI. Everybody is using AI, and the amount of access you're going to give different agents to your personal information, you're going to lose track of that over time."
