Cheektowaga, NY (WBEN) An off duty sheriff's deputy on the wrong side of the law.
Prosecutors say 35 year old Christopher D. Imhof was arraigned in Cheektowaga Town Court on one count of DWI.
Investigators say on August 21st, Imhof crossed into the opposite lane of French Road and caused a head on collision. The driver of the other vehicle, a 60-year-old male, was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he remains hospitalized with serious physical injuries.
Imhof was also transported by ambulance where he was treated for injuries and released. He is employed by the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
Imhof is scheduled to return for a pre-trial conference on Friday, November 13th.Additional charges are pending.
